HYALGAN® Knee Pain Treatment

Stick With Your Therapy

Remember that although osteoarthritis of the knee can be a painful condition, sticking with the therapeutic program recommended by your healthcare professional is essential for obtaining pain relief–and reducing your osteoarthritis knee pain may help you perform your everyday activities more easily.

Track Your Progress

Many physicians as well as people with osteoarthritis recommend keeping a journal or diary to note which activities cause you pain, and which activities or treatments are most effective in relieving it. You can also record your medical appointments and jot down questions you want to ask your healthcare professional at your next visit.

The Action TrackerSM daily diary makes it easy and convenient for you to keep track of your progress.

See Your Healthcare Professional

Be sure to discuss how your knee pain treatment is progressing with your healthcare professional. Regular visits are an important part of managing your osteoarthritis knee pain. Osteoarthritis cannot be cured. If pain returns, you may want to discuss another course of HYALGAN® treatment with your healthcare professional. HYALGAN® treatment can be repeated safely.

Take Control of Your Knee Pain

When it comes to osteoarthritis, you need to be informed. Are you the boss of your osteoarthritis? To feel more in control, review these five tips and make them part of your life, if they're not already.

  1. Get informed: Knowledge is power. Ask questions, read, and discuss what you learn with others.
  2. Stay involved: Write down questions for your healthcare professional and track your symptoms to help plan the best therapy for you.
  3. Develop good health habits: Exercise regularly, get enough sleep, eat right, and maintain your target weight.
  4. Change what you can: If you need to lose weight, do it. Strengthen your joints through exercise to help protect them from further damage.
  5. Stay "cool": If you feel anxious or depressed, talk about it, and seek professional help if necessary.
